Tradition in Transition
My work explores the delicate balance between evolution and the preservation of tradition, between honoring the past and embracing the future. This body of work acknowledges history while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens.
Change is inevitable, yet identity endures. By preserving fragments of the past and weaving them into new narratives, my work celebrates the evolving nature of culture. The achievements of past generations continue to echo through the present, shaping our lives in ways both visible and unseen. History is not something we leave behind—it is woven into our identities and carried forward with every new chapter. Tradition is not static — it lives, breathes, and transforms with each generation.
This series pays tribute to heritage while reshaping, recontextualizing, and reclaiming it in a contemporary way.
It is an unapologetic acceptance of change—not as a loss, but as an opportunity to carry history forward.
To remember, reinterpret, and reimagine.
about me.
Born in Germany and shaped by a life lived across five countries, I am a contemporary artist based in Mallorca. My work brings forgotten stories and quiet moments of connection into the present, inspired by vintage imagery, cultural traditions and the relationships between people and animals.
Through colour and my own expressive visual language, I reinterpret these moments through a contemporary lens, creating paintings that celebrate memory, belonging and the connections that make us who we are. I hope my work invites viewers to pause, connect with the stories within each painting, and perhaps remember moments of their own.
